On Friday, Feb. 12, the Chattanooga Zoo will host its annual Cocktails for Conservation event, Wild at Heart.
The event will raise funds for the Zoo’s conservation initiatives while bringing awareness to the importance of protecting endangered species. Guests are invited to spend an evening at the Zoo from 6-8 p.m. while enjoying cocktails, light hors d’oeuvres, keeper chats, animal training demos, behind-the-scenes tours, and up-close animal encounters.
Proceeds from the Valentine’s Day-themed event will go toward the Zoo’s participation in the America Zoo Association’s Special Survival Plans (SSP) for endangered species.
The Chattanooga Zoo is participating in over 20 SSP programs representing Bali Mynahs, Chimpanzees, Komodo Dragons, Red Pandas, Bushmasters, Meerkats, Pied Tamarin, Snow Leopards, and more. Wild at Heart will take place inside the Zoo’s Deserts and Forests of the World exhibits.
Guests must be at least 21 years old to attend. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.chattzoo.org.
