Chattanooga-based law firm Maucere Law Group has merged with Nashville and Columbus, Ohio, firm Barham Legal.
The new firm, Barham & Maucere, is a business law boutique with a focus on representation in the areas of corporate law, startups, business litigation, creditors’ rights and foreclosure law, entertainment law, securities regulation, tax law and estate planning.
Maucere Law Group provided legal services to businesses, entrepreneurs and investors in Chattanooga. Founding attorney Scott Maucere will remain with Barham & Maucere as member and chief legal officer.
“For the past 10 years, Maucere Law Group has focused on sophisticated legal matters for startups and businesses across the country,” Maucere says. “Ultimately, the merger is about offering the highest level of service and advocacy for our clients.”
Managing member Daniel Barham says Chattanooga will serve as the headquarters for the new firm, which will maintain presences in Nashville and Columbus.
“Part of Barham Legal’s unique value proposition is the ability to represent creditors and investors in default services and creditor litigation matters on a multistate basis,” Barham says. “The merger will expand our reach as we offer representation as far south as South Carolina and Georgia and west as Texas.”
Barham & Maucere acquired Chattanooga-based legal tech startup PUSHTOSTART as part of the merger. Maucere Law Group is the exclusive legal services provider for PUSHTOSTART, an online platform for forming a business entity in the US.
