During the 115th Annual Meeting of the Chattanooga Bar Association on Wednesday. January 23, Treasurer Paul Hatcher provided a financial report that consisted of the various operating and foundation account balances as of December 31, 2012. Hatcher explained afterward that these figures are net because the association has no bank debt.
The organization’s audited financial report is not yet available, but the preliminary estimate shows income over expenses of $6,574.64. This compares to a $124 net overage for 2011. The increase, Hatcher said, is largely due to new sponsorship dollars secured by the efforts of Executive Director Lynda Hood.
“A major goal for 2013 will be full membership participation by the Chattanooga area bar,” Hatcher said.
