Food City will host its annual holiday open house in all area locations on Saturday, Dec. 8, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Events will include: live entertainment, crafts, door prizes, cake shows, displays of holiday fruit baskets, floral centerpieces, wreaths, in-store made candies and gift items, and sampling stations featuring candies, cheese balls, specialty cheeses and new and traditional holiday favorites.
Chattanooga Market at the Convention Center
The Downtown Chattanooga Market is moving indoors for the final three weekends of the 2018 season. Vendors will be at the Chattanooga Convention Center Dec. 8-9 and 15-16. The market will be open Saturdays 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Children’s Hospital preview party
Members of the community will be able to tour the new Children’s Hospital Kennedy Outpatient Center on Sunday, Dec. 9, noon-3 p.m. before the building is open to patients.
Attendees will have an opportunity to tour the 90,000-square-foot facility to view its many child-friendly features, including a hang glider suspended from the ceiling, a Giving Tree, a secret garden, and a fire truck.
Guests from the Chattanooga Zoo, Rock City, Tennessee Railroad Museum, Chattanooga Fire Department, Boy and Girl Scouts and “the North Pole” will also be in attendance. Musical entertainment, cookie design stations and hot chocolate will round out the festivities.
The Kennedy Outpatient Center is located at 900 E. 3rd St.
