David Wiles, M.D., a board-certified neurosurgeon with Southeastern Spine and Neurosurgery, has joined the medical staff at Parkridge Medical Center.
Wiles earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed a general surgery internship and neurosurgical residency at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.
In nearly three decades of practice, Wiles has leveraged the skills he developed training under world-renowned spine surgeons to offer innovative neurosurgical procedures, such as same-day surgeries for herniated discs, spinal stenosis and artificial discs, according to Parkridge.
Wiles also provides robot-assisted spinal surgery and minimal access surgery for brain tumors and bleeding in the brain.
He has also had an active role in the development and implementation of many spine surgical techniques and devices.
A member of numerous neurosurgical committees and medical organizations, Wiles’ work has been featured in academic journals and conference presentations.
Prior to joining Southeastern Spine and Neurosurgery, Wiles was president of East Tennessee Brain & Spine Center and director of the Neuroscience Department at Mountain States Health Alliance, both in Johnson City, where he had practiced since 2000. He previously practiced at Appalachian Neurosurgery Clinic in Johnson City.
Reynolds joins Memorial
Chris Reynolds has joined CHI Memorial Convenient Care-Signal Mountain. Reynolds received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Reynolds was previously a nurse practitioner with the CHI Memorial Hospitalist program, a flight nurse for Sierra Life Flight in California, and a nurse in the intensive care unit and cardiothoracic intensive care unit at hospitals in California and Alabama.
He is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Counsel Creative expands design, marketing team
Counsel Creative has expanded its team with the additions of Katherine Bates as designer and Emily Wildenberg as marketing strategist.
Bates will support the marketing agency’s creative initiatives by assisting in the production of branding. She earned a degree in graphic design from Samford University.
Wildenberg will lead the development and implementation of clients’ social media initiatives and assist with creative efforts in the forms of photography and copywriting. She most recently served as an account coordinator for a public relations firm, where she managed and monitored media coverage for clients across all platforms. Wildenberg earned a degree in public relations from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
