Live on Stage: Emperor’s New Clothes
The Chattanooga Theatre Centre on this day will host a performance of “Emperor’s New Clothes.” The performance by Maria Chattin-Carter and cast will begin at 7:30 p.m. and conclude at 9:30 p.m. In the play, the season of festivals is upon the land and the emperor needs new duds. Two con men take advantage of the amiable ruler and possibly teach him a much-needed lesson. This is a Youth Theatre performance. Tickets are $8 and $10. Government Contracting Workshops
PTA 101 covers the basics of government contracting. PTA 102 covers advanced government contracting. The workshops will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Tennessee Small Business Development Center, located at 100 Cherokee Boulevard. The workshops will be free to attend. Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge Kayak Trip
Outdoor Chattanooga will host an annual kayak tour of the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge beginning at 10 a.m. This trip offers participants a unique view of the annual Sandhill Crane migration, as well as chances to watch the resident population of Bald Eagles, Osprey, and assorted waterfowl up close. Cost is $35 per person and includes all kayaking gear and transportation to and from Greenway Farm. Reservations are required.
