Fred C. Holbrook resigned Friday as vice-president of M.M. Hedges Manufacturing Co. after 11 years with the firm. Mr. Holbrook will establish his own business as an agent representing manufacturers in eight Southeastern states.
Sunday, December 3
The Palisades Center, Signal Mountain’s new development, was opened with brief ceremonies Saturday. Mayor C.E. Dodd of the town of Signal Mountain praised the new business center, saying in a 10-year period, the population of the town had increased 88 percent.
Monday, December 4
Twelve visitors from Mexico who arrived Monday morning were welcomed by the families with which they will live for the next month, beginning an “experience in international living.”
