Duncan, Hatcher, Hixson & Fleenor welcomes three new attorneys

The Chattanooga-based law firm of Duncan, Hatcher, Hixson & Fleenor recently added three attorneys: Stephen Parish, Pamela Fleenor and Michael Thomas. Parish has been practicing in the Chattanooga area for 34 years, and is a 1974 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Memphis and a 1977 graduate of the University of Memphis School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. 

He practices in all aspects of commercial, retail and residential real estate, including acquisitions, financing, development and construction, leasing and sales, shopping center law, title law and general business law.  During his career, Parish has been a member of various bar and trade associations, including the American, Tennessee and Chattanooga Bar Associations, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Parish and his wife, Kay, live in North Chattanooga, and are the parents of Danny, an attorney practicing in Knoxville, and David, a graduate student at the University of Tennessee. Fleenor is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a recipient of the Benwood Foundation’s Chapin-Thomas scholarship to the University of Cincinnati College of Law, from where she graduated in 1986. She practices primarily in the area of civil litigation, including personal injury, probate and collections, and in the area of criminal defense, including DUIs.  Additionally, she has extensive experience in the areas of general business practice and banking, having worked for six years at a local bank in the field of regulatory compliance.

Fleenor is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and resides on Lookout Mountain with her husband, Phillip, and their two children, Griff and Michelle. Thomas is a graduate of the Baylor School, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and the University of Memphis School of Law. In law school, he was on the Dean’s List and was a Faculty Scholar.  He received the Cali award for the highest grades in Sports Law and the Sports Law seminar.  Thomas concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, bankruptcy and criminal defense. He’s the son of the Honorable and Mrs. W. Neal Thomas III, and resides on Lookout Mountain, Tenn., where he’s a firefighter with the Lookout Mountain, Ga. Volunteer Fire Department. Principals in the firm are Paul Hatcher, Everett Hixson Jr. and Phillip Fleenor. Duncan, Hatcher, Hixson & Fleenor has focused on the business and litigation needs of its real estate, construction, lending and individual clients throughout Tennessee and North Georgia since its founding in 1972, and has provided real estate title and escrow services through its affiliate, Hatcher Title & Escrow, since 1989.
