Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel shareholder Doug Griswold is the new section chair for the firm’s health care and nonprofit service groups, which advise industry leaders across the country on the latest laws and regulations.
Griswold follows Jim Catanzaro, who previously served as section chair.
Griswold joined Chambliss in 2008 and has assisted health care clients across the country.
He often represents for profit and nonprofit health care organizations in a variety of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, asset and stock purchase transactions and joint venture arrangements.
Griswold also assists providers with physician employment and equity arrangements, professional service arrangements, state licensing and certification issues, billing and coding matters and compliance and regulatory guidance.
Super Lawyers has recognized Griswold as a Mid-South Rising Star for multiple years.
Griswold is a member of the American Health Law Association and Chattanooga Medical Group Managers Association.
He also serves on the board of directors for the Tennessee Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and is a frequent speaker for industry organizations such as the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Tennessee and Georgia state chapters of the Medical Group Managers Association.
Griswold is involved in serving his community through Partners and Peers for Diabetes Care and Mountain Education Foundation.
He graduated from Harvard University and William & Mary Law School.
