Glen Falls Trail closed
Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park is advising that the Glen Falls Trail, located on Lookout Mountain, is closed and will remain closed until further notice. The trail is adjacent to the recent mud slide that closed Ochs Highway on Oct. 14. Visitors are asked not to park in the pull off on Ochs Highway at the trail head until the mudslide hazard area can be repaired.
Camp Chair Cinema

The Lookout Wild Film Festival will show “The City Dark” at its next free Camp Chair Cinema, taking place Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at Outdoor Chattanooga, located on 200 River St. in Coolidge Park. The film looks at what’s happening to our views of the night sky on a “planet that never sleeps.” BYO camp chair for the indoor screening. Popcorn will be provided.
Hike the Trails of the Tennessee River Gorge

The Nickajack Naturalist will join Outdoor Chattanooga for a hike on trails overlooking the Tennessee River Gorge Saturday, Nov. 8 beginning at 9 a.m. in Prentice Cooper State Forest. The moderate five-mile hike will take participants to Snoopers Rock and the Mullins Cove and Ransom Hollow overlooks. Though there are no severe elevation gains, the trails are rugged and some hiking experience is preferred. Autism Awareness Walk

The 2nd Annual Chattanooga Autism Awareness Walk will take place Saturday, Nov. 8 at Coolidge Park beginning at 10:45 a.m. For this year’s event, Crisis Intervention-trained area law enforcement officers have created a team called “Cops for a Cause” to support the Chattanooga Autism Center. During the two-mile fun walk, law enforcement officers will walk along side families with children who have autism, not only to show their support for this cause but also to show appreciation to the Chattanooga Autism Center for their continued support for the Crisis Intervention Program. Chattanooga’s 175th Anniversary
