Free rides to the polls
Officials with GoVoteCHA have partnered with a team of pastors and community leaders to offer free rides to the polls to any voter residing in Hamilton County. This transportation service will be provided on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 8). Voters may schedule their ride by visiting www.GoVoteCHA.org or calling (423) 708-4490.
Fall job fair
The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga will host a job fair Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Brainerd BX, located at 400 Belvoir Ave. Area residents seeking employment in the healthcare, telecommunications, banking, customer service, and manufacturing industries are invited to attend to connect with over 30 employers. The Urban League Fall Job Fair is free and open to the public; however, registration is required. To register, visit www.ulchatt.net or call Ronni Pruitt at (423) 756-1762. Job seekers are encouraged to wear business attire and bring multiple copies of their resumes. A resume and interview workshop will be conducted from 4-5 p.m.
A night to honor Israel
Christians United for Israel (CUFI) will host a Night to Honor Israel on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Colonnade, located at 264 Catoosa Circle in Ringgold, Ga. The keynote speaker will be Erick Stakelbeck, director of CUFI’s Watchman Project. Stakelbeck is an authority on the Midddle East, terrorism, and radical Islam, and a frequent guest on Fox News. Musical presentations will be given by Shiran Amir, the Lee University Symphonic Band, and Melissa Stamper. Pastor Bret Yaeger, Temple Baptist Church in Dalton, Ga., will serve as the master of ceremonies. The event is open to the public. There is no cost to attend.
