Jerry H. Summers and the law firm of Summers & Wyatt announced last week that Jimmy F. Rodgers, Jr., has been named to the “Mid-South Super Lawyers” list as one of the top attorneys in Tennessee for 2012. Super Lawyers selects no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state.
Rodgers concentrates most of his practice on the representation of individuals who have contracted mesothelioma, lung cancer, or other asbestos-related lung diseases and on union-side labor law. In addition to representing asbestos victims and their families, his clients include the Chattanooga Building & Construction Trades Council, the Chattanooga Area Labor Council, the I.B.E.W. Local 175 and the Chattanooga Fire Fighters Local 820. Rodgers has been an attorney with Summers & Wyatt for almost 18 years.
“Super Lawyers,” a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of lawyers from more than 70 practice areas. The annual selections are made using a multi-phased process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area.
The “Super Lawyers” lists are published nationwide in “Super Lawyers” magazines and in other magazines across the country.
