Tis the season to be giving

Tim Knapp, chair of the Community Outreach Committee at the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors, and Marie Brackett, GCAR staff member, unload a pickup truck packed with non-perishable food at St. Elmo Baptist Church on Nov. 15. The Outreach Committee raised more than $1,000 to purchase the groceries, which it donated to Widows Harvest Ministries, a locally based non-profit organization that provides assistance to widows. Volunteers from the GCAR, Widows Harvest, St. Elmo Baptist Church and Bell Development hauled, unloaded and sorted the food for distribution.
