The legal division of Thomson Reuters has delivered its list of Super Lawyers for 2017. Once again, Chattanooga fared well.
Covering more than 70 practice areas, Super Lawyers is a directory of attorneys in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Baker Donelson
Thomson Reuters included seven of Baker Donelson’s Chattanooga attorneys on the list: Richard Faulkner, Russell Gray, Thomas Helton, Micheline Kelly Johnson, Virginia Love, William Robinson and Clinton Sanko.
Johnson was also named among the top 50 female attorneys in the Mid-South and among the top 100 attorneys in Tennessee.
Four of the firm’s Chattanooga attorneys who also made the list of Mid-South Rising Stars are: Marcie Bradley, Erno Lindner, Sara Elizabeth McManus and Justin Sveadas.

Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel has 13 attorneys on the Mid-South Super Lawyers and Mid-South Rising Stars lists.

Husch Blackwell
Thomson Reuters named six of Husch Blackwell’s Chattanooga attorneys to its Mid-South Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists.
Super Lawyers included Alan Cates and Ronald Feldman. Rising Stars included K. Chris Collins, Kelsie Hanson, Andrew Hodgson and Samantha Lunn.
The selections for these lists are made by the research team at Super Lawyers. Each year, the team undertakes a multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area and a good-standing and disciplinary check.
Only five percent of attorneys are selected to the Super Lawyers list and two and a half percent are selected to the Rising Stars list in each state. The Rising Star category is for attorneys who are under 40 years old or who have fewer than ten years of legal experience.
