Realtor Bekah Cochran, leader of the Bekah Cochran Team at Keller Williams Greater Downtown Realty, is the newest member of the Women’s Council of Realtors Chattanooga.

Cochran is a former kindergarten teacher who became a Realtor in 2006. She says she built her real estate business on a foundation of superior customer service, which has resulted in a steady flow of referrals and return clients.

“Our goal is to provide our buyers and sellers with the kind of experience that encourages them to tell everyone they know about the Bekah Cochran Team,” she says.

Cochran’s focus on quality customer service has helped her to cultivate a reputation for selling homes quickly and for close to the list price.

“I make an effort to sell each home for the most amount of money in the least amount of time,” she adds. “If the average Days on Market is 35 days, and we’re hitting 31 days, then we’re beating the market.”

Cochran says her team’s sale-to-list ratio currently exceeds 90 percent.

While Cochran is proud of this accomplishment, she doesn’t focus on numbers beyond those that matter to her buyers and sellers.

“We don’t concentrate on selling millions of dollars worth of real estate; our focal point is our clients,” she says. “Whether someone’s house is worth $100,000 or $1,000,000, we’re going to educate them about the process and set them up for success.”

Cochran was previously a member of the WCR. She says she left the council to direct more of her energy toward her growing family.

Having achieved a desirable work-life balance and more flexibility with regard to her schedule, Cochran returns to the WCR in the hopes of reconnecting with her female colleagues in the real estate business.

“I do business with these ladies, and I know some of their names but not all of their faces, so I’m looking forward to becoming involved again and networking with everyone,” she says.

An Athens native, Cochran earned her degree in education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She’s married to Clay Cochran, who works in sales at Jody Millard Pest Control in Chattanooga.

The couple has four children, including Cole, 7, Charlotte Grace, 5, Fischer, 1, and Marshall, who is five weeks old. When Cochran isn’t working with clients or her team, she’s “embracing life with her family,” which can include an all-family hike or trip to the community pool, or taking her kids to flag football or cheerleading.

Cochran and her family reside on Signal Mountain.

Cochran notes her love for Chattanooga has inspired her to become engaged in the local community.

As an active Chi Omega alumna, she’s volunteered in sorority-wide efforts to serve The Make-A-Wish Foundation and Siskin Children’s Institute.

In addition, she’s worked with the P.E.O. Sisterhood, which provides educational opportunities for female students worldwide, and volunteered at her children’s school.

Cochran invites other Realtors, potential clients, or anyone with questions about buying or selling a home to contact her at bekahcochran@gmail.com or 423 508-5986.

“I eat, sleep and breathe real estate,” she says. “So, let me know how I can help.”
