Crye-Leike Realtor Erin Farris has joined the 2019-20 class of Protege Chattanooga, a team-based mentoring program that helps emerging talent develop professional and civic leadership skills.

Farris joins 24 other mentees as the Young Professionals of Chattanooga and the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce launch the new cohort.

The diverse group represents a variety of industries across the city, including hospitality, financial services, nonprofit, public relations, education and more.

Farris is affiliated with Crye-Leike Realtors in East Brainerd. She’s licensed in Tennessee and Georgia and specializes in first-time homebuyers. Her business grew out of a passion for teaching people how to invest in and purchase property.

“After a home is sold, many buyers have no idea what went on during the process, and still know nothing about the property they purchased. I want to change that. I want my buyers to feel empowered and have all the resources they need to enjoy, as well as successfully maintain, their property,” she says.

Farris says she hopes Protege Chattanooga will help her achieve her goals.

“I’m looking forward to forming connections with other mentees that will lead to partnerships and other opportunities in the community,” she says. “I also want to form relationships with mentors that will help me strengthen my leadership skills and ‘sharpen my saw,’ as we say in real estate.”

Farris is also eager to learn more about Chattanooga’s future and how she can help to make the city better for everyone.
