Dominic J. Gianna, one of America’s master advocates and outstanding teachers of trial advocacy, persuasion and trial techniques, believes CLE should be fun, interesting and immediately useful in your practice.
In “Winning Before Trial: 10 Keys to Winning Depositions,” a seminar taking place Thursday, November 21 from 8:00 a.m. To 3:45 p.m. at the Walden Club, Gianna will demonstrate his “surgical” approach to depositions, illustrates how to use “the rules” to take immediate control, and show how to obtain complete closure. He will also illustrate three power steps to gather facts, obtain admissions, and test theory.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to open and close trial doors, how to exhaust a witness’s knowledge of a topic, how to deal with a recalcitrant witness and obstreperous opposing counsel, how to make and handle objections, and how to make documents “talk.”
“Watch a witness be set up for trial impeachment, learn the language of closure, and prepare a witness to handle every loaded question,” says Gianna. “Participants in this program will gain new insights into actively defending a deposition, learn the ethical limits of witness preparation and persuasion and understand the ‘three C’s’ of winning trial presentation.”
“Winning Before Trial: 10 Keys to Winning Depositions” will be presented by Professional Education Group.
