The Law Office of Autumn Witt Boyd has joined Nextlaw Global Referral Network, enabling it to connect its clients to 18,600 attorneys in 160 countries.
“I can now access lawyers outside of Tennessee, where my clients might need legal assistance, or with lawyers who have other areas of expertise,” Boyd says. “As a solo attorney, I now have a resource to offer my clients who need services or guidance outside of my own specialties of intellectual property and business law.”
Boyd has been helping entrepreneurs in Chattanooga and across the U.S. protect their rights with copyright, trademark and business guidance for more than 12 years. Prior to opening her own practice, she served as an associate with the law firm Harmon & Seidman, where she represented photographers, visual artists and stock photography agencies in copyright lawsuits, including a successful jury trial.
She also worked for two years at Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, helping businesses and individuals who had been sued over business deals or products, or who needed to file lawsuits to protect their own patents or copyrights. Boyd began her legal career as a law clerk to United States District Court Judge Curtis L. Collier.
Boyd earned her law degree at Vanderbilt University Law School, where she graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif, and her Bachelor of Arts in journalism and English at Indiana University in Bloomington.
She serves on the executive committee of the intellectual property section of the Tennessee Bar Association and is active in the Brock Cooper American Inn of Court, the Copyright Society of the USA, Tennessee Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals for the Arts and Southeast Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women. She also is active in the nonprofit community, serving as the president of Chattanooga Friends, a service organization for young professionals.
