Free rides to the polls
Officials with GoVoteCHA have partnered with a team of pastors and community leaders to offer free rides to the polls to any voter residing in Hamilton County. This transportation service will be provided during early voting, which will continue through Thursday, Nov. 3, and on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 8). There are four early voting sites in Hamilton County:

Choral Arts of Chattanooga performance
The Choral Arts of Chattanooga will host a free public performance of “American Songs of Inspiration & Devotion” Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at 2nd Presbyterian Church (700 Pine St.). Southern Adventist University centennial celebration
Southern Adventist University will celebrate its 100th year in Collegedale, Tenn., on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 2-5 p.m. at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Collegedale. The free event will feature activities for all ages, including live music, games, gymnastics performances, food vendors, and an antique car show. Known then as Southern Training School, the college enrolled 57 students its first year in the city. Free fall concert at VW
The Mid-South Symphonic Band will perform Sunday, Oct. 30 at 3 p.m. at the Volkswagen Conference Center, 8001 Volkswagen Dr. The concert is free and open to the public. The Mid-South Symphonic Band is comprised of 75 musicians from the greater Chattanooga area who perform under the direction of Jim Souders.
Earth Fare Hixson grand opening
On Wednesday, Nov. 2, Earth Fare will host a grand opening at its newest store, north of Northgate Mall at 5414 Hixson Pike. The grand opening will kick off just before 7 a.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a day of contests and giveaways, free samples, product demonstrations, and live music. Fall job fair
The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga will host a job fair Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Brainerd BX, 400 Belvoir Ave. Area residents seeking employment in the healthcare, telecommunications, banking, customer service, and manufacturing industries are invited to connect with over 30 employers. Three Blind Wines
The eighth annual Three Blind Wines will be held Friday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. at Stratton Hall, located at 3146 Broad St. The event will support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Guests will have the opportunity to compete and vote in a blind wine contest. The individual with the most popular wine will take home a cellar full of wine. The event will also feature a silent auction, a reception with an open bar, food from Swiss Am Catering, a live auction, entertainment by Slim Pickins, and a whiskey tasting.
