When a client meets with McCoy Homes, there’s no mistaking the quality of what they’re going to get, as the builders at McCoy have put their talents on display for all to see at their East Brainerd Road location.
Instead of a blasé office space, McCoy has transformed its headquarters into a glossy showcase of home furnishings, complete with two kitchens, two bathrooms, a living room, and a design center where clients can work with a full-time interior designer to choose everything that will define the look and functionality of their home.
The revamp of the 20-year-old company’s office is part of a rebranding that included a name change from B&C McCoy Construction.
“We rebranded as ‘McCoy Homes’ due to the demand for the product,” said Bryan Bledsoe, chief operating officer of McCoy Homes. “We do remodeling, spec, custom – anything you need in the residential building space.”
Interior designer Julie Bledsoe poured all of her knowledge and skills into the mock living spaces that fill every square inch of McCoy Homes. In the large kitchen area just inside the door, light from shiny industrial lamps gleams on the stainless steel appliances, while quartz countertops offer a cleaner, more modern look than a granite countertop would. Julie tempered the modern aesthetic with classic white cabinetry, while a gray-tile backsplash and a large island complete the picture.
“I like mixing tradition and industrial elements. It gives a kitchen a fresh, clean look,” she says.
The design center lies beyond the kitchen, and comes packed with brick, stone and roof samples, among other elements of décor. There, the staff works with clients to make a house a home.
McCoy Homes celebrated the launch of its new headquarters with a festive Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting attended by city officials. The J103 van was on hand broadcasting live and giving out prizes as guests enjoyed a free outdoor buffet.
