The morning of October 17 had looked like rain, but by the time golf carts carrying members of the Chattanooga Bar Association rolled out across the course at Black Creek Golf Club, the low-lying clouds that had clung to the surrounding mountains had lifted, and participants were afforded an afternoon of sunshine in which to compete for bragging rights.
Two teams finished the course tied at 54. After a score card playoff, the team from Grant, Konvalinka & Harrison (Harry Cash, Mark Litchford, Steve Dobson, and Scott McDearman) was declared the winner. Second place went to the team from Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel (Hal North, Bart Quinn, Jeffrey Maddux, and Jeff Granillo). Third place went to the team from Leitner, Williams, Dooley & Napolitan (Barret Albritton, Craig Allen, John Hull, and Ben Reese), which scored a 56.
The closest-to-the-pin winners were Litchford, Dan Stefaniuk, Reese, and Cash.
Lynda Hood, executive director of the Bar, thanked the participants, sponsors, and others who contributed to the event. “I would like to thank the attorneys who played in and supported our annual golf tournament. It was a beautiful fall day, and the course was in great shape.
“I would especially like to thank our sponsors – the Hamilton County Herald, LEXUS of Chattanooga, FourBridges, and Henderson, Hutcherson & McCullough – for their support of our legal community and the programs of the Bar Association. Thank you also to Black Creek Golf Club for hosting our tournament, and to Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Carter Distributing Company for providing the welcomed beverages!
