The Women’s Council of Realtors Chattanooga held its fall fundraiser, Southern Shindig on the River, Oct. 8 at Scottie’s on the River. The event drew more than 70 guests, who enjoyed heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, a live auction and a raffle for a stay at The Edwin Hotel.
The auction items included original art by local artist Julie Bauer and several gift baskets donated by the organization’s strategic partners and sponsors such as Chattanooga Homebuilders and Chattanooga Mortgage Bankers Association.
The Women’s Council also chose to make a donation to Sleep In Heavenly Peace, a local nonprofit that builds beds for children who don’t have one.
“Our mission is to be a network of successful Realtors that advance women as business leaders in the industry and in the communities we serve,” says Women’s Council President Susan Stout, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Pryor Realty. “We will use the money from our fall fundraiser to send members to local, state and national real estate events as well as host local educational events for our members and partners.”
