On Oct. 2, the Public Education Foundation (PEF)’s Christa Payne rappelled 20 stories down the SunTrust Bank Building at 728 Market Street under the watchful care of Over the Edge Chattanooga.
Payne did the stunt in honor of PEF’s 25th anniversary. She was wearing a PEF cape that signified that educators and supporters are “superheroes for students.”
The PEF is an independent, nonprofit organization that provides training, research, and resources to teachers, principals, and schools in Hamilton County and the surrounding areas.
