Kathy Tucker, managing broker of Crye-Leike Realtors in Chattanooga, was installed as 2018 president-elect for Tennessee Realtors at its fall convention. She will serve as part of the statewide association’s 10-member executive committee.

A 40-year real estate veteran, Tucker is a member of the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors where she has served as president (2004 and 2006), chair of the Governmental Affairs and Strategic Planning committees, RPAC trustee and MLS president.

GCAR named Tucker Realtor of the Year in 2004. In 2015, the association honored her with the George Kangles Community Citizenship Award.

Tucker has also been a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors and Certified Residential Specialists.

At the state level, Tucker’s leadership roles have included: secretary-treasurer (2017); division three vice president; president of the Tennessee Real Estate Education Foundation; chair of the Budget & Finance, Professional Standards and Governmental Affairs committees; and director since 2003.

Nationally, Tucker has served as NAR director and as a member of the MLS Issues and Policies and Professional Standards committees.

Tucker is engaged in her local community as well, having served as a volunteer leader for Habitat for Humanity, the YMCA and United Way. She is also a recipient of Crye-Leike’s Good Neighbor Award.

“I’m passionate about our industry, serving our members and the issues we face,” Tucker says. “I want to continue to work with our leadership to raise the bar of our professionalism.”
