Surgeon Sami joins CHI Memorial oncology group
CHI Memorial Medical Group has welcomed Dr. Areej Sami to CHI Memorial Surgical Oncology Associates in Chattanooga. Sami earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed a general surgery residency at Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center and a fellowship in complex general surgical oncology at Advocate Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee.
She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology.

Mashburn named Red Wolves general manager
The Chattanooga Red Wolves Soccer Club has appointed Patrick Mashburn as its new general manager. A University of Tennessee at Knoxville graduate, Mashburn will oversee the club’s business operations and guide its long-term growth. Mashburn previously worked with Unity Environmental University on brand strategy and spent years in media leadership with Cumulus Media. A Chattanooga native, Mashburn said he’s eager to strengthen ties with fans and “build something special.”
Jensen joins CHI Memorial Ringgold
CHI Memorial Medical Group has welcomed Dr. Troy Jensen to CHI Memorial Family Practice Associates – Ringgold.
Jensen earned his medical degree from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and completed a family medicine residency at Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He’s a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He joins a team of physicians and nurse practitioners at the Ringgold practice, located at CHI Memorial Parkway, 4700 Battlefield Parkway, Suite 200. Vinson is new COO of Austin Hatcher foundation
The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer has appointed Taylor Vinson as its new chief operating officer. Vinson will oversee daily operations, implement strategic plans and policies and drive organizational growth. A graduate of Auburn University, Vinson has served as vice president at Lee-Smith and Idealease of Chattanooga. Vinson is also a Leadership Chattanooga and WE Project graduate.
