Elisa Myzal has returned to the Chattanooga Police Department as its new public affairs director. Myzal left the department three years ago to pursue opportunities in the private sector. She now joins the public affairs unit alongside Sgt. Victor Miller, CPD’s public information officer, and Austin Riddle, the department’s social media coordinator. Myzal served as the CPD’s communications coordinator from August 2016 to December 2021.
HHM CPAs add pair of senior managers, five accountants
HHM CPAs recently added two senior managers – Taylor Odenbaugh and Philip Gonzales – and five accountants in Chattanooga.
Odenbaugh joins HHM CPAs as an audit manager. Specializing in auditing and attestation services, Odenbaugh will lead audits for governmental entities and nonprofits. Her expertise spans all stages of the audit process.
Before joining HHM CPAs in 2025, Odenbaugh served as the sole audit manager at a public accounting firm in Louisiana. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Louisiana Tech University.
Gonzales will specialize in nonprofit and governmental auditing services. Prior to joining HHM CPAs, Gonzales held various roles, including audit manager and assurance supervisor. His background spans both the public and private sectors. Gonzales holds a bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame and a Certificate in Accounting from the University of Louisville.
HHM CPAs has also added staff accountants Alyssa Love, Ashley Cabrera, Carter Edge, Kimberly Parker and Raegan Peters.
Lakesite swears in three commissioners
Judge Arnold Stulce swore in city of Lakesite Mayor David Howell, Vice Mayor Bobby Bishop and Commissioner Valerie Boddy during the commission meeting at Lakesite City Hall Jan. 21.
Howell has been serving on the board of commissioners since 2012 and was elected mayor in 2017.
Bishop was initially elected to the commission in 2020 and was nominated to serve as vice mayor in 2022. He will continue serving in his position.
Boddy began serving on the board of commissioners in 2010 and served as vice mayor from 2017-2018. She ran for office and began serving again in 2020.
All three candidates ran unopposed in the 2024 elections.
