After 31 years of helping hundreds of home buyers and sellers with all of their real estate needs and after several years of training other agents, Realtor Susan Barnette is embarking on another career opportunity.
Barnette was recently hired as the new director of career development for Crye-Leike’s Chattanooga region. She will help recruit, train, mentor, and motivate agents to have a successful career in real estate.
Barnette will also continue assisting real estate buyers and sellers based out of Crye-Leike’s East Brainerd branch office. She is a licensed Realtor in Tennessee and Georgia specializing in residential real estate sales and first-time homebuyers. She works with clients in and around the Chattanooga area and also where she lives in Cleveland, Tennessee.
From 2010 until 2012, Barnette served as the education director for the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors, where she helped develop education programs and trained real estate agents. Barnette also received the Educator of the Year Award from the Tennessee Association of Realtors in 2010.
Continuing education has played a big role in Barnette’s real estate success, as she’s completed training to earn several professional real estate designations. Barnette is certified as a Graduate Realtor Institute, an Accredited Buyer Representative, an E-Pro Internet Marketing Specialist, a Certified Residential Specialist, a Green Certified Realtor, a Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource Specialist, and as a Senior Real Estate Specialist.
Barnette also keeps her knowledge of the market up-to-date by serving on several boards and committees as a member of the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors, the Rivers Counties Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Previously, Susan served as the broker and owner of a RE/MAX office in Ocoee, Tennessee from 2006 until 2012.
