Attorney Tom Greenholtz of Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel has been named a member of The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation (ABF). The Foundation is an honorary organization of attorneys, judges, and law professors who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession.
Greenholtz has also been elected a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Association (TBA), whose members are chosen for their high ethical standards and outstanding contributions to the legal profession and the public good.
Established in 1952, the ABF is an independent nonprofit recognized as the nation’s leading research institute for the empirical study of law. The Fellows encourage and support this research. Fellows’ membership is limited to one third of one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction.
The TBF, an association of 801 attorneys across the state, has a two-fold purpose – to honor attorneys who have distinguished themselves in the profession and to administer a grant-making program, which has awarded grants in excess of $20,000,000 to law-related, public interest projects throughout Tennessee.
Greenholtz concentrates his practice on commercial and business disputes, municipal law, and complex civil and criminal litigation. He serves on the boards of Orange Grove Center and Chambliss Center for Children. He earned his law degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Tennessee.
