Chris Norton will be the guest speaker at Siskin Hospital’s 16th annual Possibilities: Siskin Hospital Celebrates Life Beyond Disability. The luncheon will be held Tuesday, March 5, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
The Possibilities Luncheon will also feature a video highlighting a Siskin patient who has overcome disability.
Norton was a college freshman when he was severely injured in a football game and lost all function and feeling from the neck down. Doctors gave him a three percent chance of ever moving anything below his neck again. But Norton was determined to be among the three percent, and his hard work, perseverance, and faith drove him to his feet, across the graduation platform, and then down the wedding aisle.
A steering committee led by Stan and Betsy McCright is working with Siskin Hospital staff to coordinate the luncheon. The Possibilities Luncheon is Siskin Hospital’s only community-wide fundraising event.
The proceeds provide needed services for patients without adequate insurance to cover the cost of their care.
