Learn to play disc golf with Outdoor Chattanooga and the Chattanooga Flying Disc Club Saturday, Jan. 19 from 1-3 p.m. at Portland Park. This free event is open to all ages and skill levels. MLK Day of Service
Join the City of Chattanooga’s Office of Multicultural Affairs Monday, Jan. 21 from 8 a.m.-noon to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through community service. Lookout Wild Film Festival
The annual Lookout Wild Film Festival will take place Thursday, Jan. 24 through Sunday, Jan. 27 at the Tivoli Theatre. More about the outdoor adventure and conservation film festival is available at lookoutfilmfestival.org.
Cumberland Trail guided hike
Join Outdoor Chattanooga on its first guided hike of the Cumberland Trail on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Call 423 643-6888 to register.
The Cumberland Trail is a scenic footpath along the eastern edge of the Cumberland Plateau that begins on Signal Mountain. Outdoor Chattanooga will offer nine short hikes (four to seven miles each) throughout 2019. The one-way hikes will be mostly downhill, with a shuttle providing transportation to the top.
Registration is required as space is limited. The half-day hikes are free.
